Welcome to Westwood House!
God Loves You, No Exceptions
Our Mission
We believe God loves you. No exceptions.
We are a student-led campus ministry dedicated to connecting with people, empowering student leaders, and combating food insecurity at the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University.
Westwood House is the partnership between Lutheran Campus Ministry at KU and Wesley KU: United Methodist Campus Ministry. We are a faith community that values diverse understandings and backgrounds. We welcome people of all faiths, or no faith at all.
We at Westwood House believe God loves you, no exceptions. We are called to serve the KU Community and welcome you to join us no matter your race, culture, ethnicity, age, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities, socioeconomic position, legal status, family status, background, or where you are in your faith journey. We are committed to racial equity and DEI practices as we create a community centered around food, relationships, compassion, and respect. We invite you to join us in creating this sacred community through activities, meals, and worship or to stop by and use our food pantry.
Supported by both the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the United Methodist Church (UMC), we are an ELCA Reconciling in Christ and a UMC Reconciling Ministries Network community. Officially recognized student organization of the University of Kansas.
